Raising a child is a big responsibility but everyone is gifted with parental instincts which are essential for the babys survival. Despite being an exciting chapter in your lives as couples, the birth of the baby can mark the beginning of more serious responsibilities. This is not just about bathing and feeding your baby but also providing him a secure future.

If you are born in a rich family, you won't have to worry about the future. Even before your child is born, you know that your child will have everything he or she needs and more. For the average couple that is struggling to make ends meet, exercising prudence and practicality can make everything work out just fine. You need to spend for medical bills as well as for your baby's needs like infant formula, diapers, vitamins and vaccinations.

If you are planning your family well, then you are probably setting aside a substantial amount of money that would cover your forthcoming babys needs. Sometimes though, pregnancy can be unexpected and unplanned. When this happens, you should pull yourself together and think straight. Every baby is a blessing. Even in the most trying times, you'll see that things will work out just fine. You just have to learn how to manage and balance your finances so you can pay for all your baby's needs.

You dont have to buy baby stuff all at once. To save money and baby expenses, you can hold a simple baby shower party and ask your guests for practical gifts, things that your baby can use like sterilizer, feeding bottles and clothes. This way, you can scratch these things off your to-buy list. You'll be able to save enough before the baby arrives and have a lot more when the baby comes home. From your baby shower gifts, you can determine which stuff you still need to buy.

Cribs and other furniture are not popular gifts because of their costs but you can ask close family members and friends to pull their resources together and buy these as gifts instead. You can also go to a gift registry and have a list of things you want to have then inform your friends and family about the gift registry.

Normally, baby showers are held only for the first born. This is because the things received as presents are handed down to the second child and so on. These days, baby showers are held whether you are having your first child or second.

Do your shopping after you determine your babys gender. This is also a good time to hold the baby shower party so that you can ask your guests to bring specific gifts. Although buying the right stuff in relation to the babys gender is not that important, it is upheld as a whimsical tradition often initiated by the mother. There is nothing wrong with wanting to prepare a feminine nursery room for your baby girl but you should not take things too far and break the bank just until you deem everything perfect. Learn to prioritize because there are more expenses ahead that you need to prepare for.
