Air Ambulances are scattered all across Western Europe and North America. It's a job that brings together technical, medical and caring skill & this is dependent on a team all running together. It's very much a team effort where the paramedics are very involved in getting the air ambulance to the scene of the accident. Then once the paramedics get their they do their primary job which is the medical side of things. The pilot can help out by asking the paramedics if they need anymore assistance. This can include any extra assistance. The pilot's main role is to prepare the air ambulance for the patient all this during the medical air transportation mission.

Experience & professional paramedics who volunteer to exchange their skills from the car ambulance to the air ambulance. Paramedics soon will work in the air in the near future. Not only do they know their medical experience, they are also learning navigation and other technical and hands on skills are useful for when working beside the pilots while the medical air transport.

Most paramedics who plan to work in the air ambulance will need to have at-least two years post paramedic qualification. There's a process they have to go through including a fitness assessment and will go through a 3 week training process that this include some elements of mechanical aviation, simple aviation and medical air transport & simply medical. Last year there was a little over 100,000 flights in the United States of America, which levels out to about 275 a day and that's increasing year by year. There is a greater expiation for air medical transport, because a lot of medical emergencies are in centralized locations.

All across the coast all over in the west Europe and US. Air ambulance crews give care all around the clock 7/days a week all around the year for medical transport. In geographically diverse USA the air ambulance can be not only an important perk, but in certain cases it can be crutial.
