This air ambulance transport drill Includes 3 trainees that have burns on them from an explosion. inside a C17 medical air transport aircraft we have the medics caring for the patients. This sort of situation could happen in any place in the Pacific, which is why this team is here to train. This group is part of JMAT which means Joint medical air transport team. Today there not putting much focus so much on medical training, but rather of caring for patients in an environment like this as aircraft engines blare noisily while at work. These new recruits find out a critical lesson of operational on a loud noisy air ambulance. This real life trial gives the students a more hands on grasp of the real life sceario that can be multiple limitations for the patients, they can be found when they are on the ground, Many possible things can go wrong while in flight.

The students got to practice medical care on their mac patients, while the C17 was still in flight. As one student says. "Feeling the movement & the sways while being on board gets me ready. I was surprised on how similar it was to a real world scenario and how difficult it is for communication with your crew members and teammates. Be open to anything and play trial and error as you go. This way is a perfect way to train for a real life scenario".

Training like this is especially important in the pacific theater. These doctors may fly off to far away secluded areas in the world & deal with a heavy range of injuries. Hurricane... or what is called in the far east, a "tsunami" can affect those patients and the doctors can help by bringing care on board the air ambulance. The training truly is joint bringing together students from the navy, air force and army. As well as bringing in more students from other nations like Australia & Thailand.
